Dental Treatments

As you would expect, Dr Michael Cai and our team are skilled in the use of the best technologies available to optimise your treatment comfort and outcomes. We are committed to the delivery of an outstanding level of customer service and patient care, with thorough communication of all relevant information regarding your diagnosis and proposed treatment.

We utilise the most advanced technologies to provide the very best dental care possible today.

Computer-Guided Implant Assessment and Placement

Dental implant planning can be completed more effectively and implants can be placed with extreme accuracy to minimise postsurgical pain and trauma and ensure the ideal functional and aesthetic result.

Dental implants can be placed far more precisely to maximise success rates and reduce recovery times. This technology makes it possible and safe to place implants without raising a flap, all but eliminating postoperative pain and swelling. The same technology makes it possible to place teeth on your implants on the same day.

3D Imaging

Cone beam 3D imaging is a breakthrough diagnostic technology in dentistry.

Cone beam CT scanning is a compact, faster version of regular CT. The use of a cone shaped x-ray beam allows a dramatic reduction in the size of the scanner, the radiation dosage and the time needed for scanning. However, sometimes regular CT is required. In order to provide the best possible images and diagnosis, we utilise a specialist Radiologist nearby for these services.

Digital X-Rays

Digital radiographs (x-rays) enable us to detect cavities in between your teeth, precisely determine the bone level and assess the health of the bone.

We also examine the roots and nerves of teeth, diagnose lesions, as well as assess damage following trauma. With digital imaging, exposure time is about 50% less compared to traditional radiographs and results are visible on screen almost instantaneously. We have digital x-ray units in each of our surgeries.

High Magnification Microscopes

All critical work is performed under magnification using either optical loupes or a microscope as appropriate.

This even extends to the use of microscopes in our in-house laboratory. We insist on this technology so that we can provide high grade diagnosis and treatment as well as precision fitting of restorations.

CAD/CAM Technology

Our CEREC machine allows us to provide bonded ceramic restorations in a single visit.

We can prepare your teeth, take an optical impression and design your restoration. It is then milled from a solid block of ceramic and bonded to your tooth. Whether inlays, onlays or crowns, we can ensure a great result in the least possible time while preserving the maximum amount of your tooth. Our CEREC machine even works with our scanner for implant treatment.

If your situation is more complicated, we are able to take advantage of a number of other dental CAD/CAM technologies whether for traditional crown and bridgework or for implant prostheses.

Biocompatible, High-Tech Materials

Many dental manufacturers ask us to evaluate new materials and methods.

This helps us stay abreast and even ahead of the latest advances in dental treatment. Whether it’s another new restorative material, the latest in porcelain aesthetic restorations or a new type of implant; our team has the opportunity to assess it and decide whether it is right for you.

Bite Evaluation

A successful Dental Transformation which creates a brand new smile or a better bite (occlusion) requires meticulous planning and expertise. Alterations to tooth position and form can affect the gums, smile, lips and face as well as the jaw joints, jaw muscles and functions such as chewing and speaking. Detailed knowledge of these interrelated effects and the effect of grinding and clenching habits are required before intervention should be considered.

Zoom! Whitespeed

The quickest, easiest way to effectively whiten your teeth is in-office treatment with Philips Zoom WhiteSpeed. Zoom WhiteSpeed is the only in-office system that has variable intensity setting so each treatment can be customized to maximize patient comfort.

The system also includes desensitizers to help minimize sensitivity and protect your enamel. This dentist-supervised, in-office procedure is safe, effective and clinically proven to whiten up to eight shades—for a brighter, whiter smile in just one office visit
